CamryGeneral discussion forum for the Toyota Camry.
This is a discussion thread titled "2007 I4 XLE is just a Great Car for Gas MPG", within the Camry forum, part of the Cars & Vans Forums category.
Hello All,
i am a proud owner of a 2007 I4 XLE, i took it for a trip from Coralville, iowa to Chi-town, Ill and i wanted to see how many miles per gallons i can squeeze off this baby, so filled up tank to 20 gals, turned on cruise control @ 62.5 MPH and turn the tripometer to tank average and i proudly watch the number shoot up to an unbelievable 38.7 MPG, and i was able to pull 676 miles on a single tank of gas.
This is great, the advertised MPG on those cars is up to 34 MPG and i beat it by almost 5 MPG....feels awesome given gas prices right now.
The down side:
No A/C weather was nice enough for open windows
Anyone familliar with Illinois driving knows that even speed limit says 45 MPH people were flying at 90 MPH, so i was sad to watch all those people fly by me like crazy, but it's ok i was having func watching my counter near the 39 MPG.....awesome feeling, this car is great.
I have owned it for 6 months now and have 4600 miles on odometer.
I hope you guys are having fun with your Camry's out there.

Enjoy
Number 1: The Camry tank is only 18.5 gallon capacity.
Number 2: The trip meter indicates about 1.5 mpg higher than actual mileage.
Number 3: Tough for me to believe that you used over 18 gallons before you refueled.
Other than that, my trip meter will hit 38 mpg at 60-65 on a level road so I have no doubt you got good mileage.
