3M Clear Bra for 07 SE Camry

I just got my new 2007 Camry SE V6 and am lovin' it. However, I've noticed that that blunt front end picks up bugs like a magnet. That means stone chips also. Before I get any, I want to try and protect it.

Has anyone used the 3M clear bra material? Also do you know where I can buy it pre cut for the 2007 Camry?

Check on E-bay. I have seen the 3M film on there and it says it's precut. I haven't purchased it yet because my Camry won't be delivered until 6/13. If you do get the 3M film let us know how it works out. I would like to know.

I know it's not exactly on-topic but...

I bought (and regret) the traditional bra from Wolf.

As I hinted at, I regretted it. The fit and finish are fine but there's nothing backing the material (unlike Colgan's) and the hardware to make the attachment to the car is dimestore cheap.

I've been thinking about buying the bra from Colgan but I seem to always have something else to spend my money on.

My Camry was made and bought in may 2006 and I know what you mean about bugs and stones. YEP...it'll only get worse over time.

Colgen is the only way to go if you're going to put a traditional bra on a vehicle. I have one for my 05 Tundra DC and I've been very happy with it. However, it is extra work to clean and wax under it regularly.

I ordered a pre-cut clear bra kit off of ebay and after I get it installed, I'll post some pictures and let you know how it went putting it on.

I purchased a ClearShield like product from ebay. Price was around $60. Sorry, I cant remember the ebay seller. I think I searched on 'clear shield auto'. Basically this was a DIY. For the price, I received all hardware to install even a How-To DVD. I would on a scale from 1 - 10, the install was a 7. I received material to cover the both mirrors, hood, top front bumper, center section of bumper, and lower front bumper. Due to the shape of the center section of the front bumper I could not put that piece on. All other pieces were applied rather easily. If you have ever installed window tint film, this process is basically the same. The material is easier to work with when temps. are above 75. I would not recommend applying a material of this type in direct sun light, shade is better for you and the product. Hope this helped

Did you ever get the 3M bra you ordered off of ebay? If so how do you like it, how was the installation etc. I just got my Camry and I am ready to order a bra for it.

Yes. I got it about a week ago. It seems very complete in the coverage, but it's a bear to put on. Took my wife and I about 2 hours with a hair dryer, squeege, and copious amounts of lubricant to get the bumper covered. I've been putting off doing the hood and spoiler, but I guess I'll bite the bullet and do it this weekend.

I'd post some pictures, but once it's on and you get all the air bubbles out, it pretty much disappears. It is very important you get the air bubbles out and worth the extra effort during installation to make sure you do.
