Hi I have a problem pumping gas into a camry 2007 LE V6 It's wierd the car is only a week old and I have filled it up twice and both times I had to go to 3 gas stations before I could get the tank full. For some reason the gas pump stops when I try to pump anybody have any idea what this could be?
Thanks

This might sound dumb but you were trying reg gas right????
Maybe you were pumping the gas to fast. Don't completly pull the lever on the gas handle. I used to have that problem when i first started to drive. I would pull the lever up to far and the gas would come to fast as a result making the pump think that it's full.
I've got the same problem - which is why I ended up on this page. It's now happened the last 3 times in a row that I've put in gas. The pump will shut off just about every gallon of gas that goes in. If I immediately try to pump it again, it just clicks (as if the tank is full). I have to wait several seconds before it will go again but will click off after about a gallon.
I originally assumed it was a problem with the pump, then the entire station but everyone else is doing just fine. I asked the attendant about it and they have had any problems.
Check the vent hose coming off the charcoal canister
1) take the canister (fume return charcoal) return line off and blow through it with pressurized air.
2) with the same line off try to fill the car...is it better...etc...
3) there is a vent line to accomplish exactly this (help fill up normally)it may be pinched or clogged. Going from the area where you put the gas nozzle down to the tank, inspect it, it is in the upper "neck" area.
It's under warranty, take it in!

This skinny tube is the vent. It probably has crud or something in it. Look under the car and remove the rubber hose and blow through it with compressed air or a hangar wire. Notice the hole for the gas pump nozzle is on the bottom right. Get the dealer to look at it under your warranty. This tube is from an older model.
