CamryGeneral discussion forum for the Toyota Camry.
This is a discussion thread titled "How's the 07 interior quality?", within the Camry forum, part of the Cars & Vans Forums category.
Another question. How's the interior quality?
I did a quick search here ans it seems that all mesages related to interior rattles are pretty old. Would it possibly mean it all was in early build vehicles?
Fit and finish isn't up to Lexus or Acura standards but I'm pleased with the quality of our 07 Camry SE (it is a May 07 build). There are some trim bits that don't fit perfectly and some have exposed slightly rough edges. I'm pretty fussy though.
We have 2k miles on ours and we have one small rattle form the sunroof. It showed up just a few days ago. I haven't had a chance to look at what is causing it. Otherwise things are solid.

In the winter it rattles pretty bad, but that is to be expected. Plastic shrinking in the cold is normal. Only problem I have with mine is the drivers side pillar doesn't sit right and has a gap near the top, had it fixed once and it is back to doing it again.... As long as it runs the way it does I am ok with this.....
My car was built and bought in May 2006 and the only complaints I had in this area are related to;
- front seat...fixed by the dealer
- seat-belts rub / bounce off the sides of the car when vehicle is in motion (not much to do except move the orientation of the buckle)
Overall it's as good as almost anything else out there but I do agree that it does not seem to be up to the previous standards that Toyota's had.

when it's done right it shouldn't rattle in winder uness the temps are extreme. and i believe that's all in design and quality control, it can be done using insexpensive plastic.
unfortunately that's things like that that keep me from buying the camry, which otherwise beats the competition as far as i am concerned.
We bought a 2007 Camry LE (4 cyl) with sunroof about 12 months ago. Had leather seats added to it. No rattles for over 17,000 miles now. Only one issue which is not fixed yet is hesitation. It's the wife's car and have not had a chance to bring it in for the TSB. Other than that, the vehicle has been fine.
