Default Thinking of purchasing Camry SE V6

My wife and I are currently in the need to upgrade her vehicle. Our 98 Ford Exploder is just becoming too troublesome. I was wondering what the average MPG's the 07 V6 camrys are averaging?

I get about 31mpg highway, and depending on my particular mix of city and highway driving, usually get in the mid 20's mpg.

I'm getting about the same. 25 mixed city/highway. About 27-30 MPG highway (depending on speed- doesn't seem to change much with higher and lower speeds). I bet I can do a little better if I slow down to 55-65 and stick with it. I haven't done an all city tank.

It seems like the I4 Camry gets mileage that is pretty close to the V6 in the real world, plus you have a 100+ HP difference.

I have the I4 in the wife's RAV4.
Adequate at best but the V6 blows it away.

Yeah, the V6 in the new camry is really fast. I'm surprised how fast it actually is most of the time.

Fantastic engine.
I don't do many miles a year(7-8K) so I use premium gas.
I usually use Shell and get that extra 4 HP,a few more lbs of torque and more cleaning additives.
Lexus has the exact same V6 and it's 10-8:1 compression in some models and premium is recommended for the 272 HP.
