07 Camry SE V6 In Dash Ticking Sound

Its my first entry so hello everyone!

I have been experiencing this problem for about a year now since i bought the car. The dealership said there was nothing wrong with it. The ticking in the dash is driving me nutz. Anyone have any ideas.

Hey, I do not mean to sound mean or anything but I figured I would ask this anyway.

Are you sure it's coming from your dash? I say this because there is a TSB for the bucket seats...I had the issues called out in the TSB and it did sound like an occasional click or such.

Do you only hear something when the car is in motion?

Yeah im positive its coming somewhere near the gauge cluster. It makes a faint but noticable ticking noise. It does occur only when the car is in motion and after it hits bumps.

There is a fix for this. It requires removing the dash, and putting tape and foam on the underside of the dash. I found it with minimal searching, just dig a little bit and it should be easy to find.

HOLD EVERYTHING!!!!! My wife's 07 Camry SE had the same tick, she found it was the speakers. I think it may be from her MP3 player. Try unplugging your MP3 player (if you have one) and listen again. It may be from the poor quality cable she has connecting her MP3 player to the AUX jack. HOPE THIS HELPS!!!!
