Default Xtreme White Light bulbs

Hi all. I just joined this site and was wondering if anyone knew where I could get some Xtreme White low and high beam and fog lights that are DOT street legal for an 2007 Camery SE. The stock ones are so dim. Thanks in advance for any help.

I've been using MTEC (4,350K) for 16 months in all 3 places with no problems. Bought them on ebay with a lifetime warranty. Tried the 4,000K Sylvanias but they still had a slightly yellow cast to them.

They give a white HID look but don't expect more light. The blue coating cuts down on the lumen output no matter what the light bulb people claim.

If you want much more light, you will have to go to HID's with the low beams. It's not a plug and play to do it right!!!!

The high beams and fogs can be converted to projectors to accept HID's but that is mucho $$$$$$ more.

As a possible counterpoint to the previous post...

I also bought the same bulbs and one of them popped after only a few months of use. While the warranty is for the "life", you have to send them back the old bulb and wait for a new one...PITA if you ask me.

I switched to PIAA bulbs for my low beams. True, they're not as white as the MTEC's but they are a far sight (no pun intended) than the OEM bulbs and I've had nary a problem with them.

Don't take this posting as a slam against MTEC's products...just know what you're buying and what the ramifications of a warranty really are.

Good luck!

I have to agree with the above post on the Mtecs.

I am using Sylvania's ST/U's (ULTRA), not the standard ones.

The "Ultra's are fine and very white at that. They don't run HOT too, like the PIAA's!! They last like OE's and are available almost anywhere.

HID is another realm and another topic and thread! With it's own pro's and con's.

I put in a set of hid bulbs with the dc dc converter that came with the kit and it was plug and play and they really light up the road nicely. I put the new sylvania's ultras in my fog lights and high beams and they work just great. Here is a tidbit when you wax your car always wax the headlights to keep them from fogging over and if your head lights are fogged you can now buy a wax from the local parts house to clear them up.
