Default 98 V6 Camry - timing belt replacement

In the process of changing the timing belt on our 98 V6 camry. I have the camshaft pulleys alligned with the markings and the crankshaft pulley alligned with it's marking. I have an issue with the markings on the timing belt not lining up. The two solid lines on the belt line up perfectly with the camshaft markings but the dotted line on the belt does not line up with the markings on the crankshaft pulley. Side by side with what was in there prior, the new one is off by about 3/4" relative to the markings. Do I have the wrong belt or should I turn the camshafts or the crankshaft in order to have the markings aligned? I do have the belt positioned correctly where the "FR" markings are pointing towards the front right of the vehicle.

Suggestions?????

Thanks to DFBonnett on the links!

As far as the timing belt, it was user error. I was looking at the belts wrong. It was about 12:30am-1am when I encountered this. The next morning I relooked and found out what the problem was.

On the crankshaft pulley, there's two markings. At the top of the rear of the crank pulley there's a dimple that lines up with the marking on the block, this is to set TDC (top dead center). There's another marking on the face of the crank pulley marked with white paint (at about 3 o'clock). This is to line up with the dotted line on the timing belt itself. Everything lined up perfectly. In the process, I also changed, the No. 1 and 2 idlers, water pump, v-belts, alternator and afterwards, the thermostat, cleaned the throttle body and rotated the tires.

Next, replace front and rear valve cover gaskets and check valve clearence.
