Not sure..may just be a marketing scheme. Possibly they are assuming that if people see 2009 in big, bold writing rather than 2008, they'll go for it because it's the newest available thing. For alot of people, they think the newer the better. Then again it may also have to do with timing it with the new 2009 corolla and the other new models. Who knows...

Pretty sure they always come out with Camry's around this time. Sucks, I agree. Back in 06 bought the 06 and one month later, much to our surpirse, they come out with 07's (march) with hybrid and redesign.
Just wondering what others think.
Isn't it a little early for the 2009 Camry to be out already.
I mean only 2 more MY after 09 and we will have a re design already?
You must have heard faulty information. The current Camry body style will not be changed until at least 2011 and the 2009 models won't be for sale until September 2008.

The 2009's are at the dealers NOW!
The 2010's will have a facelift in calendar year 2009.
