Default new Camry LE v6

I bought a new Camry v-6 yesterday to take advantage of the $3000 rebate that we have in our area.So far,I am very pleased with the car, except for the crappy Michelin tires that are useless on ice or snow. The ride is a little soft for the best handling, but it is very smooth over our rough roads. The engine is extremely smooth as is the transmission.Braking is very smooth and predictable as is the steering. Now I need to get it out on the highway to see how comfortable it is on a longer trip, and what kind of mileage it will deliver.

I filled the tank for the first time and it averaged 30 miles per imperial gallon in mixed city driving and short highway trips.

One tank is meaningless.

My own feeling is that one tank does provide a rough idea of what I can expect, although the mileage will likely improve somewhat as the engine breaks in fully. In any case the 30miles per Imperial gallon falls right in with the 26 to 40 miles per imperial gallon rating supplied by Transport Canada.

Filled the tank for the second time, again a mix of city and short highway trips. The result was 31.7 miles per imperial gallon.
