1996 Toyota Camry 5sfe 4cyl oil pump o ring replacement help

I have a 1996 Camry with the 5sfe 4cyl motor and the oil pump is leaking. If you look at it while it is running it has a good drip coming from there. Is it generally the oring and shaft seal that need replaced? Also do you have to take the oil pan off to get to the oring and seal? Any help would be appreciated thanks

the o-ring and shaft seal are common to leak. replace the pump if the shaft has a groove worn in it where the seal rides. no, you don't have to take the pan off. yspert

if you are there, you might as well do the crank seal, cam seal and the timing belt. and maybe the waterpump if it is leaking. oil pump o-ring and seal is all you need.
