CamryGeneral discussion forum for the Toyota Camry.
This is a discussion thread titled "Need help on replace spark Plugs of V6 camry", within the Camry forum, part of the Cars & Vans Forums category.
My car is 99camry V6.
I want to replace the spark plugs since the miliage is 110k miles, bought one year ago.
It seems not easy to work it on V6 camry, the rear ones. Some people says it is possible to replace them without removing intake plennum . Actually i can take it to a garage to do it, 150$. I am a engineer and just want to try.
Is there anyone working it out by yourself?
Any suggestions?

Never did it but have read about people that did.
You need a variety of extension lengths, u-joint or flexible extension so you can ratchet from above.
Have fun!!!!!!!!!

I take out the top cover and the rear spark plugs are visible.
However i see a silver rod blocking the spark plug being taken out even i have flex extension. I guest that is throttle. I don't believe it is possible to remove the spark without removing the throttle.
Do you have any idea?
Thanks for your reply.
