Default 2009 Camry Homelink problem

I just bought an 09 Camry XLE yesterday. I tried to set the Homelink to my garage door opener using the instructions in the owners manual. My opener is the rolling code version. (I even tried the non rolling code setup) I can't get it to work. I even erased all of the existing codes in the opener, and reprogrammed the remotes, and the keypad entry. They all work fine. Just cannot get the opener and the Homelink to communicate. I have had the Homelink system in previous vehicles, and have never had a problem getting it to work with this garage door opener. Has anyone else had any issues, and if so, how did you resolve them? I did a search, but did not come up with any posts relating to this particular issue. Thanks for any help you can give.

Default Re: 2009 Camry Homelink problem

Just wanted to let everyone know that I just found the answer to my question. Went to the Homelink website, and found that they said that some vehicles require the ignition switch to be in the accessory position while doing the progamming. Put the key in, and switched to accessory, and tried again. It worked this time. I never needed to have the key in the ignition on other vehicles. Oh well, just learned something.
