Default **** Out Of Balance Tires ****

I have a brand new 08 camry and when you go above 79 mph I swear every tire on the thing shakes badly. Is it possible the tires were balanced wrong from the factory? Has anyone else had to have there tires rebalanced from the factory?

unacceptable for a new car to do this, take it back to dealer and see if they have someone that can fix it for ya! ask them if they can do a dynamic balance and mate your rims to your tires then this would tell if you had a bad "NEW" tire. I just had a new michelin replaced cause it was bad from manufacture! would also ask them to do alignment and ask them for a print out of it for your records. They should have no issue with doing this unless they notice some weights that could have come off!

I have an 08 Solara which did the same thing. It took the dealer two attempts to get it right. Take it in.

One or more tires may be bad.
Check for balance first.
Preferably using a Hunter Road Force Balance machine and a precise Hub Centric wheel adapter.
79MPH should not be the reference speed for poorly /unbalanced wheels/tires. Usually between 45-65 the shaking( tire shimmy) will be apparent.( above these speeds it usually disappears) Sometimes a tire rotation can isolate the issue to one or two tires.

At 79mph having this condition is a sign of one or more defective tires/rims.
The dealer will take care of it for sure. This has happened on many different Toyotas as of late.

Sometimes tires may "flat spot" and cause this condition.
Never rule out a suspension or drivetrain component issue at the very worst. Harder to diagnose.
