Default 06 Camry Paint

Just wondering if anyones paint from their 06 Camry is being eaten up by bird droppings that was washed off no longer than a week from it being on. My wife's camry has that paint protection program that was sprayed on when we bought the car. So I'm wondering if the cause is from that paint protection. Can anyone else chime in if their paint is getting eaten away and whether or not they have that paint protection on their camry.

The paint protection covers any paint damage from bird dropping, tree sap, etc., so I just might have to go to the dealer and have them repaint the car.

Thos e Dealer applied paint sealants or whatever yu want to call them are just Money making Dealer Fluff. They do nothing for your paint.
Bird droppings must be cleaned off. Nothing can claim to protect it.

Find out what the dealer truly sold yu. Because they would be lying if they claim that their Paint wax/sealer will protect your paint from environmental fallout and such.

All cars must be cleaned and waxed often. Whether new paint or not.

I had a Bird stain to the clearcoat on my hood from the first week of owning it. It only took two hours of baking in the sun to damage the clearcoat. The paint was sealed and waxed. But it made no difference. Some Birds have more acid than others. Seagulls are one of the worst damage causing birds.

The stain can be polished out if not left on too long. But it must be done correctly without damage to the paint.
Go to the Detailing Section here and ask Brandon for advice on correcting the stain.

Like the man said nothing will protect your pain from bird droppings I have seen many people just forget about the droppings then later their paint was ruined. GET THE BIRD DROPPINGS OF AS SOON AS YOU SEE THEM JUST A PAPER TOWEL AND WATER WILL TAKE CARE OF IT.

A good sealant will protect from bird droppings for a while, but they need to be gotten off asap. DONT use paper towels, you are just asking for more marring. Use a quality microfiber, soak the bird doo then wipe free.
