Default Camry TPS

I read the manual and did not find any solid information so I figure I'll ask this group...

I'm likely going to be replacing the OEM tires on my 07 Camry soon and I was wondering about the TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR.

Is there any maintenance I need to do?

Thanks

TPMS sensors?

Just don't let the tire changers break them. There is procedure that they should know when dismounting and mounting new tires.

You could write down the 7 digit codes on all 4 sensors when the old tires are off for future reference.

Batteries and sensor grommets are supposed to last about 5 years.

You don't have a Service Manual????????????

No...I never picked up a service manual.

Way back when, I looked at the one from Toyota and another from somebody else (Chilton I think) and the thought...am I really gonna use this...crossed my mind and I just never picked it up. besides I had better things to spend my $$ on.

OK...which one would you recommend picking up?

Yeah, I spoke to a couple of tire places and the general feeling I got was, besides the dealer doing the work, Big-O and America's Discount Tires were equipped with the "touchless" rigs to unmount / mount tires. ADT's is "suggesting" that I replace the batteries and I'm on the fence about it. The car is a little over 2 years old now and I would expect this next set of tires to last 2-3 years...so that puts me right up against that 5 year mark...tough decision.

Based on my discussions with Costo and Sam's Club...they're not getting anywhere near my car!

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Thanks

Service Manual Download:

Camry Stuff - Gen6 Manuals

I don't have my sensors installed now and my light only comes on once every 2 weeks.

I wouldn't change batteries yet.....
