Default How do you adjust the headlights on Gen 6 Camry?

Did a search, and did not find anything. I have an 09 Camry XLE, and have noticed that the low beams are aimed a little low for my liking. At highway speeds they do not illuminate far enough down the road. The lights have a distinct cut off point on the road, and are not sufficient for higher speeds. I looked, and could not see any way to adust them. Anyone know if, and how they could be aimed a little higher? If not, do any of the aftermarket bulbs perform any better? Too much traffic where I drive to use high beams, so that is not an option. Thanks for any input you can give.

Hey there...be careful on this one.

You'll likely what to do some research on previous postings on this general topic when the 07's were new...

The headlight assembly, as a whole is a projector style and YES, there is a significant cut-off or line of light & dark for the low beams.

The process of adjusting the beam (and I think it's sealed from you being able to do this) would likely only reduce the illumination at the bottom of the light cone.

Some people also complain (OK, some people make note of...) that the OEM low beam bulbs are too dim...(I did). In many cases people replaced their stock low beams with bulbs from other manufacturers (PIAA, Sylvania and MTECH to name three). This will change the "color" or the beam to something that is "more white" and may even increase the # of lumens being pumped out.

Lesson learned...next time I buy a car I test drive it in the dark too!

Have fun!

Adjustment mechanism and adjustment patterns are listed in your factory service manual.......
