tsb cam gear-timing

my 2006 camry with manual transmission, and 68,000 miles has the engine light on and my mechanic said the code COO12 read out on his scanner. something to do with the cam gear/timing? he said there's a tech bulletin out about it?
i told him i'd check this site/board out.
i have the extended warranty and i'm hoping this would be covered... whatever it is.
any info or insight/knowledge would be appreciated.

Most likely P0012, camshaft position sensor. It would likely be covered but you'd have to check with whomever is doing the work. Job is not complicated.

Thanks for the reply! I'll be getting the work done at the local Toyota dealer. Conicelli Toyota. That's if it's covered by this extended warranty i felt i foolishly purchased. Maybe it will come in handy after all.
