Is the A/C linked to the defroster on a 96 - Toyota Tundra Forums : Tundra Solutions Forum

I just picked up a 96 Camry and noticed that the front windshield defroster does not work well unless you switch on the A/C. So my question is are they linked together or must you turn on the A/C separately.

I believe on the 96 Camry I had you had to manually hit the AC button to get it to turn on no matter what the control setting was, so no, I do not believe they're linked.
