Default dead battery-no rear defroster

This morning it was -34,and I went to start my 08 Camry only to discover that the battery was dead. The car was used 10 hours previous, and after a good check,no interior lights were on,and the headlights were in the auto position.I charged the battery and started the car and drove it 300 miles with no problems, other than the fact that the rear defroster does not work.I checked the battery voltage immediately after shutting off the engine, then again three hours later, and it is constant at 12.7 volts.I do have an appointment with the dealer, but I am suspecting that somehow the rear window defroster stayed on when the ignition was switched off, drained the battery, then the relay failed open.Has anyone had a similar experience?

Well, I just looked at a 95 Camry, the problem, they will come out to the car about once a week to find the battery dead. The battery is new and checks good, the alternator check good 14.5V output. No abnormal parasitic discharge seen on an amp meter (13 ma drain)
He did mention he hear a really clicking once when it would not start. But no energized relay were found when I looked at it. Relays click when the power supply voltage drops, so this leads me to believe that a relay is being intermediately powered on after the key is off. I've asked him to try and pin point the relay that is clicking the next time the problem appears.
I know this doesn't help you much, but my guy did take his car to the dealer and they charged him 90 bucks and found nothing. I haven't found the problem either, but I did get the vital clue of the clicking relay. Now which one is it?
In you case I would find the Defrost relay, (in the under hood panel) and pull it. See if your problem quits.

I finally had the car into the dealer, and the defrost relay was burned up.A new one is on order.Since that one time, the battery has held it's charge just fine,so that is almost certainly the problem.
