Default HID headlights

i just put a set of 6k HID lights in my 09 SE. when I start the car with the headlights on one or both lights shut off. happens more when cold out. Is there anything to help this or just start with headlights off. I like leaving them in the auto position.

Nope, I have an '05 Camry LE. I have the same issue, you just have to remember to move it to the the "OFF" or the parking light position, there's no way around it. It's a safety built into the HID Ballast that shuts itself off if it senses a voltage fluctuation to save itself.

yeah tell me about it I have the same issue. what i do is when in auto, i just flick them off then on. I guess I'll leave them on the off position so i don't have the repeat it.
