Just got escorted off of the property of Newark Delaware's Toyota dealer for calling the parts department lyers. It all started trying to purchase a VSV for VPS valve. Something that should have been easy enough to find.
Two days of looking at their drawings failed to find the right part. They offered to sell me several parts that they had no idea if they would replace or how to make them work... Finally a "mechanic" saw my pictures and said the part I was looking for was part of a "retrofit kit" and that the new valve required re-routing some hoses and that I should have them put in the part. I finally agreed.
Got there today and got the normal sales push by the service writers to let them do the diagnostics ($95) to make sure I was replacing the right part. I refused. I did take the part off the car and it has an open circuit, should measure 30-40 ohms. I know the part is bad, but according to them, does not exist. Finally the svc mgr invites me to inspect the canister (retrofit kit) to make sure that I am comfortable the part that I need is being replaced by this kit. Low and behold, the EXACT part (remember, they said it doesn't exist?) is attached to the new canister!!! ARG! I was pissed! I accused them of bait-and-switch and lying to me. They kicked me out, said they would not work on my car. Can't say as I want them to any more.
So, I'm looking for a source of a VSV for VPS for 2000 Camry XLE. Can anyone help? I've tried looking in what on-line parts stores I could find.

Thank you for the response...
Name calling, insults and flame bait. Hmmm... Do you by chance work for Toyota? :-)
It's the v6. Not that it really matters since the part I'm looking was used by both engines for that year.
Sorry I didn't bother to tell everyone I had already scoured this site and a couple of others, and read the two articles you mentioned. I wasn't asking for info on how to diagnose or replace the part, I was asking if anyone knew of a good reliable know-what-they-are-talking-about on-line parts place. I'll assume there are none...
From what I can gather, the part I'm looking for is not available without buying the "canister kit". The exact part I need is the one pictured in the post by Black4n on page 6 of the "Camry Charcoal Canister and VSV Valve" article that you so kindly pointed out. The valve pictured is a VSV for Vapor Pressure Sensor, and according to the final story from the bozos at the local Toy dealer, is ONLY available as part of the canister kit.
You are welcome to call me more names and add more insults if you'll prove me wrong and supply a correct part number and supplier. But I'd settle for an on-line sub-retail parts dealer who knows Toyotas.

When you are giving a reference, refer to the post number, not the page. It's page 2 for me as I have the latest posts at the top of my forums.
These posts repeatedly give the part number of 90910-12264 for the VSV and 77740-06170 for the canister assembly. Simple english.
The former is $34.99 + shipping and the latter is $191.53 + shipping. April pricing was 5% off those figures.

Where I buy my parts.
Have fun.......................
Part number 90910-12264 is not correct. It is a VSV for a purge somethinganother. Has the wrong number of connections pointing in the wrong direction. The canister assembly is something I hadn't considered buying initially. Thanks for pointing out the part number.
And thanks for the link for Auto Parts People. I looked up the canister assy, unfortunately, no picture... I'll give them a try after making sure the part is correct at the (next) local dealer. They are about $90 cheaper if it is the correct part.
