keep in mind it could be something else but you have to
have it checked by someone that understands the system
you are having a problem with. a fuse blows because
something happened that is not normal. whenever something
happens that's not normal, the result can be bad and
expensive. i would hope that it is not the alternator due
to the cost but you have to move on if at all possible.
alternator diagnosis is very simple for anyone that
understands the theory and can read a wiring diagram.
right on the diagram it shows you why the light comes on.
pretty amazing if you ask me.
what kind a lighting repair were you doing in the first place?

well Ive bin looking around for best prices for alternators and labor fees to compare to dealership and stuff but im probably going to go to the dealership to play it safe and i was just changing interrior lights to leds well it wasnt me somone else was doing it but i geuss hes an idiot who cant change a light bulb with out blowing a fuze but replaced that i dont know if it was a coincedence that my light came on afterwards and i got it rechecked again it charges at 13.5 instead of the 14area ive bin driving on it for a little while but i kno my luck might run out if its my alt so id rather avoid that so probly im going to pay for the diagnostic at the dealership since there is somthing wrong and get there estimate on a alt also its nice because the dealership offers a rental car so im not carless while my car is in the shop

try putting back the TOYOTA bulbs and see if the light goes out. THE LED's Might be affecting that circuit.
I know on the older toyotas if you do not have the proper bulb in the 3rd brake light, even tho it lights up it will set the bulb warning light "on".
Its easier and cheaper to swap the bulb back before commiting to the ALT.
Once the bulb is back , either the light will be on or off, and that will help you determine whats causing the issue.

great idea. also, do you have a test light so you can check all of
the fuses. check even the fuses that don't have anything to do with
anything even related. i once saw the foghorn fuse cause the smoke
screen pump to not work.
let the dealer fix it. if not, then at least use a denso unit. stay away
from the "botch" units. i hate them. yspert

Strike 2/3/4/5 for BOTCH units, they suck. IMO

Glad it is fixed....Fuses are always the first things to check, with a DVOM/test light and/or a visual inspection. CONGRATS.
p.s. damn we're good,
