Default 2001 Camry CEL P0440

The car has a 4 cyl and A/T. I've cleared the code before and it comes back but not in any certain time or mileage. Pretty random. Thinking maybe when the wife, it's her car, gets gas, if it's running during refueling it can throw a CEL or maybe she's not tightening the cap enough. Maybe an overfill or splash into the overfill pipe? Cleared it again yesterday. Last time it was maybe several months it stayed off...

Just wondering if anyone else has encountered this code in the same random manner and figured out what it is? I imagine if it was a bad part it would re-occur quickly.

In General:
OBD-II Trouble Code: P0440 Evaporative Emission Control System Malfunction

In Particular;
Consult your Toyota Service Manual for the correct diagnostic steps.......
