I need a 1991 Automatic 4 cylinder, mechanical transmission
Hello,
Here's the short of it. A friend gave me a 1991 Toyota Camry with a burned out transmission. Everything else is in working order. I need an automatic 4-cylinder, mechanical transmission, NOT an electronic transmission.
It sounds as if, excluding the electronic transmission, there are two other possible types of transmissions that can be sent, but I don't know which one.
Does anyone have experience in these matters?
What good websites would you recommend for me to buy a good used tranny?
Or, for that matter, do you have one that you could sell?
Does the VIN number indicate in anyway, which transmission I might need?
