Default Gas mileage way better on long trip than expected...

Wife and I just returned from Niagara Falls (what a sight). Drove our new '05 Camry 4 cylinder LE from Central Arkansas there and back. 2,589 miles, 10 states, two countries and got almost 36 MPGs for the trip. Ran 80+ about 70% of the time and the air was on the entire trip. I was expecting it to get 30 or so, but not 36. I am very pleased with Toyota's ability to product great gas mileage on the Camrys, especially since the window sticker says 26/34.

I drove 450 miles total this past month, w/ 200 miles of it on hwy, and the remaining in city. 100% A/C running too.

I averaged 30 mpg.

I love this car for its fuel efficiency and comfort.
Wish our Tundra did as well in the MPG issue.

Took a drive to San Francisco in my 05 Camery LE 4 cyl 5 sp Auto at 80 MPH most of the way. Got 32 MPG with with AC on and not much power loss while flying over the mountains. The car had 900 miles on it when we left Portland. No rattles and smooth as silk. This car is great.

We have 4 cyl Camry LE's in our fleet at work. Whenever I take one of those on a business trip, I regularly get 33-34 mpg. And in all honesty, they're not at all short on power!

Kind of makes me wonder.....

Default Mileage

Yep,
I have a 1994 Camry V6 XLE and my round trip to work and home is 100 miles a day! 95% is highway I-85 and let me tell ya, for a 1994 V6 Toyota I get an avg. of 24.86MPG. I WAS getting 22.53 and started that Acetone.. and that is where it is now. Only use 93 and it is nice.
I LOVE my Camry!
