I'm guessing they got those numbers from using regular fuel whereas they were using premium in the previous models. Toyota does say that the V6 gets better performance using premium but runs fine on regular.

The SAE has come up with a new way to measure HP and Torque. This new method shows lower numbers but the output is the same as with the old measuring system.

Oh, see I never knew that. No one has told me that at all. So, you mean that the 06' has the same as the 05'? That's good to know. Thankyou.

I read that if you used the old way to measure horsepower that the updated Accord 4 cyl would be rated at 170 Hp. An increase of 10 Hp over the 2005 models. Their warranty is now 5 years or 60,000 on the powertrain.
Oh. I like the little face lift, and LED Rear lights.
