Default CEL and DTC Code P0125 on '98 Camry XLE V6

My CEL is set and a scan reveals code P0125. No other obvious faults and car runs fine. Some have linked this fault code to a bad O2 sensor, and with 50,000 miles, this car could need one. But I don't want to buy one without considering other possibilities. Any thoughts?

Update:
I'm also pulling P1133 and P1135 on this car, as well as the P0125. This is pointing at the A/F sensor(s). This is a California emissions car (though it was bought new in NJ), so I guess it has A/F sensors rather than O2 sensors. These things are over $200 each! The scan codes don't point to which particular sensor is bad. Do both need to be replaced at the same time? Can they be replaced with the cheaper O2 sensors? Would emissions or performance or economy or all 3 suffer? is it possible that a bad tank of gas is causing the fault codes and CEL to appear? Is there anything that can be done to correct problem short of spending almost $500 on a couple sensors? Bosch claims these A/F sensors should have a useful life of 100,000 miles. Thanks for any help!

Thanks for your reply, Glenn. Are there PDFs for other codes also on the site? Where would I find them? (search did not find them)

Yes,the California Emission Package has A/F sensors instead of O2 sensors. They will not interchange because the signal that they provide to the ECU is totally different. The codes P1133 & PO1135 are both specific to Bank 1,Sensor 1.Bank 1 is the bank that contains cylinder #1,which is the back one,or the one closest to the firewall.Sensor 1 s the one closest to the exhaust manifold. You can see it down behind the engine ,just above the steering rack.
