Default 2005 Camry

I am experiencing problems moving my foot from the gas pedal to the brake.
I find they are too close and sometimes I hit the side of the brake pedal when braking. Also, once when backing up, I hit the gas and brake at the same time. Has anyone experienced the same problem on the new 2005 camry?

Glenn,

This was a GREAT addition to TS.com! I'll be visiting here quite regularly, as my wife's new car is an '04 Camry XLE!

Glenn, er...umm, better include Lon and Sally on this too... !

Cheers,
Dave

Hey John,

What model of the Camry do you have. The reason I ask, some models come with an option, which allows you to "move" the pedals forwards or backwards. If your Camry has this option, have you tried moving the pedals? This "may" help... .

While I don't have a 05 I think the pedal placements are the same in our 03 Camry SE. I've not had a problem hitting both pedals and I'm 5'7" and my feet are 9 1/2 D's.

Larry

PS: Thanks Glenn for the additional Camry forum.

If a combo of all these whizz bangs met their claims you'd have to syphon gas out of your tank every second day and sell the excess horsepower on the third????

Default Pedal problem

Hi Dave,
Sorry to take so long to answer. I have the LE model of Camry. The problem has not happened again so I must have just made a mistake.

John
