rubber burning smell, 93 camry

Hi forum,,,,wifes V6 93 camry over the past couple months has a faint rubber burning smell after warmup.
As an example, the 15 minute drive home from work, pull in garage, shut engine off, standing near car (within 10 feet) you can smell that distinct rubber burning smell....
upon inspection, no visable smoke traces under hood, cannot isolate smell when hood is open...smell goes away upon cool down.
I checked to see if anything was caught in exhaust/converter system, didnt find anything.
Whats the car trying to tell me?? hoses going bad? timing belt rubbing (it was replaced at 60k, now has 97k on the car)
any ideas would be appreciated before i take it to the dealer....thankyou

if it is not plastic stuck to the exhaust or coolant leaking, then the rear valve cover gasket is leaking oil onto the manifold. cost to replace both gaskets along with the pcv valve and gromment should be $350.00. yspert
