They ended up being SPX-137R's, which you are correct are not 6x9's. Sounds like they did some mod to fit them in. I can ask if you would like. I left the OEM speakers in the rear for now, changing them out I'm sure would only make things better. Lot's of well defined bass. They mounted a MRV F450 in the truck. They attached it to the underside of the rear deck. Just fit.

Sounds pretty nice.. they also put the tweeters in the factory tweeter location so they do not show. Cost me $900.

So 900 bucks? If its really that much better than the stock system i think i might go for this. No subwoofer huh?

You can use any after market stereo you want, all you need to do is buy a dash mounting kit for your year car and a wiring harness, both cost about $20 a piece. Also removing the factory radio is pretty easy you just need to be careful and not brake the dash that surrounds the radio when removing it. The wiring part is also easy just make sure to match up the wires on the wiring harness to the wires that come with your after market deck.
