2007 Camry Hybrid Prepaid Maintenance and Extended Warranty

New to this site and my first post. Just got my new hybrid and love it!! I have the option to purchase pre-paid maintenance up to 55K miles and an additional warranty to bring it up to 6 yrs/75K miles. They're telling me it's a deal at $1598. Anyone else purchased this and got a better deal?

The extended warrantee 7yr 75k miles 0 deductible is $695 for a Genuine Toyota Platinum plan. Must be purchased during the first 3 years of service.

Goto priuschat, they quote the pre-paid maintenance at just under $700. Combined w/ the offer above for the warranty it is about $1500 - maybe able to negotiate w/ your dealer to get about the same price.

I am considering the pre-paid maintenance but then I looked at what is done on the non-oil chage services and it isn't alot of stuff, just lots of inspections so I may pass.

As of mid-August 2006, Platinum 7yr/100k/$0 for the Hybrid is $990 dealer cost, and you can buy it at that price from Midwest Superstore in Kansas (Troy at Greenfield might be able to match). I have been seeing prepaid 45k maintenance selling for the high $600's.

Superior Toyota, KC sold me the 7/100,000 with $0 deductible for $1 over cost. - $991. Only issue is when u buy instate - at least in KS, I had to pay sales taxes on it --- might be cheaoer to go across state lines.

An internet company called Warranty Direct had their 7/100,000 with $100 deductible for $1200. Good luck

I just bought a 2007 Camry Hybrid and they were offering an extended warranty of 5 years 100,000 miles bumper to bumper for $995 or
6 years 100,000 miles bumper to bumper for $1095.
