This is a discussion thread titled "Got It! 07 SE", within the Camry forum, part of the Cars & Vans Forums category.
Hey to all of you. I just got my Red SE yesterday from the best dealership I ever brought a car form - new or used. I live in the Atlanta area where SE CAMRYS are unfound on dealer's lots. So I did a search of all the dealers and Hank Aaron had the car I wanted in route to them. My saleslady(Melinda Hornberger) protected my car from being shown or driven until I arrived (5miles on her and a full tank of GAS). Long story short Melinda was the best saleslady I ever had and we received some FREE STUFF w/ free car wash offers anytime I felt like a brought a Lexus off the show room floor. 21600 before ttl. base SE i4 w/mats
Sweeeeeeet looking ride. Nice move on the SE badge. Looks much better. I took the "Camry" slap off of mine. Like the cleaner look.

Cool job with the Lexus. What did you do on the nose? That must blow peoples minds that are behind you.

Way to go, awsome SE!!! Congrats! Try to track your milage, I'm curious. Which engine did you get? Regardless, it has awsome presence...
Thanks guys and as for gas mpg I now have 326 miles on my first tank
( minus the 5 on delivery) and i have 1/4 to go ---mix driving with hills. not bad
Congrats on the new SE. I just bought one myself in June, metalic grey. The ride looks sweet. The SE model was very hard to find in the North East as well. I had to wait for mine. They also came in one trim. I wanted the base SE I4, but every dealer had it with moonroof, rear spoiler, and floor mats. I must say, though, the spoiler makes it look really nice. I searched and searched for a good deal and finally I found one. Only two dealerships, of the ten I went to, offered me this price. I paid 22,000 with the above options before tax. When I told other dealers, their mouths dropped. It was roughly 950 over invoice. Anyway, enjoy the car. I really love mine, except for the power. Would have gone V6, but gas prices prevented me from doing so.
hey man I feel the same way about the power, but sooner or later there will be some type of 'go fast' porduct on the market for the I4. I couldn't justify 2 grand more for a car with the same equipment, but with a faster motor. For now I take the curves hard and enjoy cruising. By the way nice deal on your ride. On the topic of fuel cost, I make it a hobby to check the the pumps on the guys around me filling-up SUV's or trucks. Highest I've seen is an Explore 21 gallons at $61.00 and he'll be back before the end of the week . I love my I4 when I see numbers like that.
what do you expect from a 4 cyl...u cant but a camry se wit a 4 cyl and then complain about the lack of power...thats like buying a 24 inch tv to watch the big pay per fight
I guess prices have come down some. I recently ordered a White SE 4 cyl. with floor mats, and dealer installed body side molding and my price was $20,684 plus $249.00 doc fee out the door. That did not include TT&L. I think that is pretty close to invoice. Should arrive in 3-4 weeks. I can't wait!
Congrats on your new car. I also got a 07 Camry about 3 days ago. I purchased a Super White XLE V6 Camry with Taupe Leather Interior. I love the car. I have a 2003 Black on black SE 4 cly. Camry as well. My family and I have been part of the toyota family for over 15 years.
The first thing I am going to do to my car is to get the 3M protective film on the front.
2) 35% tint windows
3) upgraded headlight bulbs...maybe the PIAA's for the low beams. Get the blue hint and it will look like a Lexus at night.
I think that is all I will do. I like everything else in the car. I will post some pictures as soon as I get it back from the dealership. They are putting paint sealant on the car as part of the deal.

I've got loaded SE V6, and my gas milage is great (for a V6). The most I've gotten out of one tank was 370 miles, which came to be about 22 mpg - mostly city driving. But that is of course when i dont floor it to smoke a mustang V6 on a stoplight (true story). The worst I've had was 305 miles a tank = 17 mpg. (and that driving at redline a lot). I'm happy with gas milage, and i'm definately happy with the power.
Now what i wanna do with my car, is change my exhaust tips to 4" round (dual), and install TRD lowering springs. Its already 30% tinted, so i think it will look sick
