My wife and I have had our '07 LE 4 cylinder for a week now. With 120 miles on it I had to have all four rotors replaced due to being warped and now I have noticed that when you go through a carwash the cars roof skin will slap repeatedly into the supprot members underneath. This seems like a serious issue to me as I dont know how they can possibly fix it. The car drives great but I honestly believe this may be my last Toyota purchase.
i had a similar problem,a clicking noise whn i was parking.the problem was that my brake lock was lose.took them 20 mins to tighten it.i would hear it when i was forwarding into a space or backing up at about 5-10 mpg.
We have had many problems with our 2007 Camry LE, 4 cyl.,auto trans.
L.F. brakes squeak when I back up.
Throttle/trans lag.
Door gaskets that fall off.
Window trim loose.
Radio works intermittantly. (no dash control at times, no display at times)
Radio controls on steering wheel in poor location. (one can accidentally change stations)
Cruise control "stick" on steering wheel, a stupid idea.
Small trunk. Trunk lid hinges go down into storage area.
And of all things, sun visors that had to be replaced twice!
Overall I detested the car. I traded it in on a new Impala. Boy, what a difference. Will never buy another Toyota.......

I am having strut issues on my 07 Camry as well (leaking). Granted I have over 40,000 miles, I just think its odd that a part fails this soon. I bought the biggest warranty they offered, and have hit every maintenance, and as soon as the 36,000 miles is up (suspension warranty) they fail. Now, Im only comparing this to every other car I have owned and this is sub par. The tires only lasted 30,000 miles. I drive very conservatively, so thats not an issue. AT this point I feel that Toyota is just hype.
I have a 07 CE 5sp with 67K. I bought the car new in July 06. Most of my driving is highway.
My rear brakes got done at 55k and the front brakes still have about 30 percent life.
My stereo's display is not working like it should. Sometimes the buttons do not work and there is no display and sometimes the display has all the numbers showing or lines after the number.
My Bridgestone tires sucked. I replaced them at 40K with Michelin tires that are GREAT MXV4.
Beside that the car has been great. I don wish I would of bought the SE model for the sportier drive.
I just bought a new 07 Camry LE 4 cylinder. I hear noise coming from the front end/passanger side when I go on reverse or drive. It doesn't happen all the time. I brought it to the dealer where I bought it from, they can't seem to find any noise after I left the car there for 1 day. I decided to leave it again tomorrow for another day. I'm going to personally drive over there in the morning and try to duplicate the noise to them. Any one have the same issue? And Anyone knows what should I do if they still can't find the problem? or If I can't duplicate the sound to them? Please help.
i have experienced this- it usually makes a clicking sound when you are doing a reverse.... my mechanic just removed the slider bolt in the brake asssembly and re-greased it- voila! problem solved....i went to 2 dealers and they couldn't fix it.
The front suspension problems is an acknowledged problem from the dealer. Mine has been completely changed 3 times and the same "clunking" noise over hump appears immediately (same day) after the most recent change.
They have got the engineers from the Toyota plants and their Japan engineer around to study the problem. Meanwhile, keep changing, as long as it is still under warranty. Under such situation, I believe the dealer has a duty to extend the warranty period. My car's mileage was 20,000km when the problem started, and is now 38,000km at 18 months old only.
The rear suspensions with the strut cap / support has also been changed once
This Camry has been the most problematic for me :
wheel bearings, front & back suspensions, steering shaft (changed twice), and battery

I dont suppose you have any reference to the known issue? My dealer seems to have no clue. I just took it back today for its scheduled service. In addition, it makes squeaking noises whenever the car negotiates any bump. The service rep says my struts need to be replaced and are trying to charge $700 to do it. Of course my warranty is worthless.. I refuse to put Toyota struts back on the vehicle, why would I, the last set only lasted 40,000 miles. I hope Im not in a situation where everythime I change the tires, I have to change the struts as well. Monroe, doesnt make struts for the 07 camry yet, Perhaps because they shouldnt need them yet. The only struts I've found are the KYB, which may be the part Toyota uses. Ive also found a complete coilover solution that is starting to look more attractive.
My back brake pads wore out as well. Which is odd, usually the front wear out alot quicker then the back.
