CamryGeneral discussion forum for the Toyota Camry.
This is a discussion thread titled "2007 camry", within the Camry forum, part of the Cars & Vans Forums category.
I purchased toyota camry 2007 in the month of sep '07 and it ran smoothly. And now for the past couple of weeks. i feel vibration and the vehicle sometimes pulls to left and sometimes to right.
I took it to the dealers, first time they did wheel balance and alignment, and when i tool a test ride there, it looked fine. But after couple fo hours, i started to feel the same vibration and unbalance.
Second time, when i took it to the dealer, they advised a complete wheel chance and they repair all the four wheels with new ones. But still i feel the same thing.
And anybody suggest, what would be the issues with my car. and i should do with that.
1) Appreciate the fact that your dealer is not ignoring you.
2) Call the manufacturer in Torrance and open a ticket with them...that should add some pressure to resolve this issue.
Honestly...this is one of the smoothest and most quiet cars I have ever owned...what you are experiencing is NOT typical or within anything close to normal parameters!

2007 Camry LE V6
We have the same problem with our 2005 SE model Camry. We have taken it to two different dealerships. One says the tires are not round, and the other said the rim was not round. They agreed to replace two tires, with multiple wheel alignments and tire balance service visits and the problem still persists. It is okay in town driving but annoying on the highway for long periods. Not sure which way to handle this, but the two dealers here have flunkies for shop managers who only know how to replace things to fix problems. It will probably be until the lease ends that I will get rid of this problem. Good luck!
I've worked at a large tire chain for 15 years. I've seen every kind of vibration problem out there. You probably have a combintion of problems. If they replaced the wheels... they should be ok. On an SE I suspect you have alloys.??? If so, that problems is fixed. The tires are probably still out of round. They conformed to the previous "bent wheels" - put a set of Michelins on about a year before your lease is up. You'll buy the car then.
I have an 07 SE and have the same exact problems. Had the alignment fixed after three weeks and I am still having issues with vibration and pulling. It's not as significant as before, but it still exists. I'm bringing it in again for another look.
This bulletin contains general vehicle pulling diagnosis and repair procedures along with specific information to help correct pulling complaints.
This information supplements Repair Manual procedures when the symptoms are:
The driver holds the steering wheel without exerting steering effort while driving
straight ahead, the vehicle drifts to the right or the left.
While driving straight ahead, the driver has to steer either to the right or the left to maintain straight driving.

Hello to everyone,
Just wanted to let you know that I too have a 2007 Camry XLE 4 banger.
We have developed a love hate relationship (love the concept of the car but hate its performance). I have been to the dealrship 5 times complaining of a vibration and pulling to the left and it still has not been fixed, it is also having the hesitation when accelerating issue and was told that it is the nature of the beast and they can't do anything about it. I purchased the car in November 2006 and have pu almost 27K on it so the problem has nothing to do with breaking it in. I am going to take it back by there again with some info of the TCB that was provided in this forum and I will let you know how it goes.
I also just bought the 2007 Camry LE V4 on May 2007 and I have exactly same problem. In fact this is my second 07 Camry. Here is my story. I bought the first Camry when it was only 8 miles on it. On the first day I drove it home, I noticed right away that the car has a lot of vibration and shimmy from the steering wheels down to the seats and the whole car. I called the salesman right away and he said that just bring it back to the dealer the next day to have the service taking care off. (It was around 6 PM.) The next day I came in, they re-balanced 4 wheels but the problem still persist. To make the long story short, I ended up came back to the dealer 7 times with 1 minor and 4 major repairs but the shimmy and vibration was still there. The Service Manager and the shop performance couldn't even fix. They swapped the 4 new wheels with another car in stock. (BTW, I have the stock steel wheel). They change 4 new Michelin tires for the Bridgestone Potenza on my car. They re-alignment and re-banlanced all of them again. They even called the Toyota service engineer came down to take a look on my car twice. I also called Toyota Corp and it was also involved to give more pressure on the dealer. I finally have the lemon deal to trade in to get another Camry. It took 2 weeks to be done this deal. However, I am still not happy with the new car anyway.
When I came in to trade the new car, I carefully did 3 road test before picking out the "best" one. The first one I test had the same problem of vibration and it has only 3 miles on it. The second had 12 miles on it and have the same but slightly better. The third one had 32 miles on it and it was the best out of 3. However, it is still have some vibration on the steering wheel when I go over 75 MPH. I was tired so I picked this one. The salesman told me that the vibration problem could probably in my mind now. He felt no problem at all with the cars. I disagreed with that because I drove the same distance and same road to work everyday on my 2001 Honda Accord and 2006 Camry and never feel the same problem.
My second 2007 Camry has around 2000 miles on it now. I can say that the vibration is still persisting and it is really bothering. Since there is nothing the dealer can do more. I think I will trade it in next year or so for another car. Toyota really disappointed me on this 2007 Camry model.
Here are some other problems I have on this car:
- This car has the worse sound on the stock stereo. The sound is dull and unclear with too much base. I regret that I didn't pick the JBL system at the time of purchase.
- It also has the 3 second stall when trying to accelerate. So, I have to put more attention when I need more power like making a left turn with no left arrow green light.
Sorry to hear all troubles that you guys have. Just want to weigh in, I have my Camry LE 2007 since 09/30/2007. It has been heavily used (now 35k miles), and so far I have no single problem. I do all maintenance (oil change every 3500 miles, rotate whells, etc). Never been brought to a dealer. I did flush the transmission oil @ pepboys when it had 29k miles. The car is very smooth, and I like it.
Can anyone tell me how i can get a copy of this TSB mentioned above?
My wifes 2007 camry V6 XLe is having serious pulling problems and well as
"bump steer".
Thanks
Just show the TSB number "ST005-01" and tell him to try using that to fix your car.
Also...if he checks the alignment, look closely at the "Toe-In" specs.
He should print them out for you.
On my `07 they showed within specs, though the left front showed a very slight toe-in, but the right was just slightly toed out.
This will cause the car to wander and/or drift to one side.
When I saw the specs I knew what was wrong right away, and climbed under the car to reset the toe-in for a small amount of, what else?....Toe-In.
The drifting stopped instantly, and now the car tracks straight down the road without having to constantly correct it.
Can anyone tell me how i can get a copy of this TSB mentioned above?

Join TIS for 24+ hours for $10 and print off all the TSB's and any other service changes that have been made.
Thanks for the reply and information. There have been so many things done to this car to correct this issue that i am not sure it can be fixed. And the last attempt has made
a bad problem worse. I will try the TIS and see what i can find.
I bought 2008 Camry few months ago and had the vibration and pull to one side since day one. Contacted salesman next day and advised to service.
Been through dealer service over 3 times and once left it there for a month.
The Toyota factory servicemen came to look at it twice but could not fix it.
What was the LEMON law for trade in? What choice do we have?
Do we have to pay extra for another Camry with same options?
Please give some advice to get rid of this car.
Thank you in advance,
Tom
