Yah I did that at the dealership before delivery. Logging and mining roads would have been unforgiving on 20" tires!! Unfortunately I did not get any sort of credit for my 20's but figured in the long run I would save a bit of dough on tires (18's vs 20's). Now that I've bought some tires I'm not so sure of that theory...

Yes, you certainly would be able to recover any cost buying 18" tires. I was surprised at the price of 20" tires....talk about "highway robbery".

Anyone know where to get a good price on a decent canopy around Vernon?

I bought my canopy in Kamloops, decent price? Nope.
Think it worked out to $1200.

Kamloops here too. Reppin for Sun Country Toyota, flame suit on =) I don`t have my Tundra yet but sold my folks a 5.7 Double Cab Ltd. Timberland Mica, tan interior. Proud to have converted a longtime domestic owner.

Any questions for a guy who works on the other side of the counter, lemme know. I can look up pretty much anything you need to know on Infostream, too. With canopies, lemme know too, and I`ll call some contacts and see if I can get you a better price.

I bought an 08 DC 4x4 5.7L with the liner and rails from Sun Country too and now just waiting for it to be delivered. I wanted the 20" but after reading about the costs maybe I will stick with the 18". I am thinking of getting Line X so might need to ditch the liner and rails so anybody know how much I could get for them?

brow, how much did you pay for that stainless steel guard on the front of your truck? I like to install on mine too- looks very stong but I need something that is not sticking too much or else my truck won't fit inside my garage. Iam from Surrey but thinking of buying a vacation house there if I can find a good deal.

Figured I should join in after a year of ownership. Got mine at Sun Country Toyota from Gord. Great guy to deal with, knows his stuff and when he's not 100% on something, he finds out about it, no B.S. for the customer. Thanks Gord. Had a few "less than" great things with the service shop early on but I think they are trying a little harder now and Ryan is a great guy to have after a few personelle changes. Hopefully everything gets taken care of and I don't get the usual 'don't believe everything you read on the internet' speech when I bring up valid concerns, ie: front diff. Glad to buy local. Keep an eye out for some custom bumpers and other fabricated goodies on the truck (time permiting from other customers trucks! haha).

Hey Brock, yeah the guy they had there before Tate (actually inbetween) had a standard "NO" answer or "could not diagnose" and was VERY skeptical about the mis-information we "find" on the internet.
It was great that Tate came back to Sun Country - otherwise I was looking to service my truck elsewhere.

Ya at first the service shop left a bad taste in my mouth, but then the next time I went back there was someone else and then once more, Tate was there as well as Ryan. Great guys, happy to do their job and I'm once again happy to go there. Keep up the good work guys.
