Here in Toronto, we have a massive Bass Pro Shop. As you know, BP and Toyota are in cahoots. Toyota has a big dirt obsticle track set up in the parking lot of the BP. There are hills, off camber side hills, logs, all kinds off stuff. They have every Toyota Truck and SUV for people to try out. It's awesome. I've done it a few times. They actually run the vehicles at 35 degrees side lean. It's pretty scarey when you haven't done that before. That pretty much tells all when the company is willing to let any joe blow try the trucks out in that environment. Best ad campaign, hands on!
Anyway, as for Toyota Canada...having owned three Tacomas....here are a couple of suggestions.
1. power moon roof
2. get rid of those ugly *** dog chow
floor mats
3. interior plastics (the dotted black stuff) make it so that it doesn't scratch so easy
4. move the exhaust crossover above the tranny cross member so it doesn't get crushed when you take the truck off road
5. teach dealers how to do a proper undercoating (ie, don't tar the crap out of my spare tire, take it off!!)
6. plug and play remote starter, get off the green thumb bs, we're in Canada, we need it, you only sell a fraction of trucks here so you aren't going to kill the environment, just our trucks when they're not warmed up properly in the -30C temps
7. stock the f'n accessories, no excuse on this one, something as simple as all season
floor mats, b/o, they are now and were in 04 when I got my 05 truck, I half way understand, but don't understand why they can't give accurate eta, get a new supplier! tier 1 suppliers are a dime a dozen
