Window Off Track?

My 1999 Corolla front driver's side window is off its track. Is this caused by the motor wearing out or perhaps the windows get off their track. Whatever the reason, how do I remove the door panel and replace the motor.

I can think of several reasons why the window is off of the track, unfortunately none of which can be addressed until the door panel is removed and you can see what is going on. Removal of the door panel is not difficult. There is a specialized tool that is used to pry off the door panel which you can get one at just about any auto parts store and it is not very expensive although I use a small putty knife and a screw driver to gently pry off the door panel. Anything beyond that I think that you should get a repair manual. I personally like the ones published by "Haynes". You can get them online and at most autoparts stores for about $20. Good luck.
