2009 Toyota Corolla XRS

Looks like the new Corolla and Matrix are out. Matrix looks interesting.

They both come standard with the 1.8 liter engine, upped to 132 hp. The Corolla gets 35 mpg, and the Matrix 32 mpg, on the highway with this engine.

Both come in XRS form with the 2.4 liter Camry engine. Not quite as exciting as the previous XRS which came with 8000 rpm engines with 6 speed manuals - these get 29mpg (Matrix) and 30 (Corolla) on the highway - big let down, for 158 hp if you ask me.
