I got it from trdsparks for $99 & just got her done tonight. Not too bad of a job i guess. The worst part was not having enough room under the dash to work. Took about 2 hours. Trdsparks gives you the instructions online.
1- remove kick panel on drivers side
2- remove top & bottom steering column covers.

Two weeks ago, I bought Corolla 08 CE with auto door lock. After I read this thread,
I ordered the parts for remote keyless entry in trdsparks.
But I think that the remote transmitter in the parts package is different from
that of corolla LE. Is this package is aftermarket part or toyota genuine part?
In order to add this, should I remove only kick panel and steering cover?
How about the scuff plate and lower dash panel?

I think it's probably aftermarket, but i don't know for sure.
What's nice about it vs. the OEM one, is that you can lock the doors with the remote while the keys are in the ignition or while the engine is running.
You could probably do it with just removing the kick panel & steering wheel cover, but i think i removed the lower dash panel on mine.
The wiring diagram's are kind of fun to figure out.
I just bought a 06 Corolla CE...it has manual door locks, but the salesperson told me that I could have power locks installed. To quote him: "the actuators are already there." Is this correct?
Hard to believe that a salesperson would tell you what you want to hear. No, the door lock actuators are not there. You can do an aftermarket kit and keep your fingers crossed.
