04 Corolla Serpentine Belt Replacement

Has anyone had any experience replacing the serpentine belt on an 2004 Corolla? I would like to do this myself but would like to find out about releasing the tension on the belt with the proper method so that I don't inadvertently damage something.

I use a 19mm socket on a breaker bar. Pull the bar toward the radiator and release the belt.

sorry to drag up an old thread, but i'm trying to do the same procedure with my 03 corolla, except there seems to be a plastic cover on the face of the tensioner pulley. Any advice on how to remove this without doing too much damage?

Hi, I see the 19mm boss but if I pull it forward, it doesn't want to move. Do I need to loosen the bolt just below it and there seems to be a limited amount of throw (1/2" max)due to what looks to be a motor mount off the bracket?
