1999 Corolla Electrical Problems

Help! My Corolla is having electrical problems that seem to be getting worse. It started with the dome light not working. I checked out the bulb and it looked good but I replaced it anyway - didn't fix the problem. Later that day I noticed that the stereo stopped working - won't power on. Also the bell that goes off if you leave your keys in the ignition or leave the headlights on is now not working. The only other anomaly is that in the past periodically the seatbelt warning light stays on even thought the belt is snapped in. Everything else seems to be OK - for now. I checked all of the fuses (the book wasn't real clear on which fuses were for what) and they were all good. Has anyone seen this combination of issues?
