Cool Seat Clicking and Belt Squeaks

I can feel occassional clicking in the drivers seat, on the left side, by the adjustment lever. Anyone in this forum who has a similar observation?

Also, squeaks, specifically during cold days (below freezing temps). But as soon as the engine warms up to normal running temp, it disappears. Belt is OK, no cracks, just under 40k (kms) for a 2006 Matrix.

Default Re: Seat Clicking and Belt Squeaks

I have had squeaks at the pivot point with the drivers side seat belt. I had taken it to the dealer and they lubricated it a bit but it occasionally catches my ear. As for the clicking.....let me tell you! Clicking in the drivers side door around the window/lock control. Clicking in the dash toward the window in the middle around the clock, clicking in the passenger door. I know this sounds petty but...when I pay 34K for a truck, I expect it to be worth 34K and to be structurally sound...I mean SOUND. I had that with my Chevy why not now? I know it sounds like a minor issue but that's why I left the GM products (because of the compounding minor issues) It was hard going to a non american vehicle but the quality was the deciding factor. I just hoped it was not hype.....Jury is still out on that and we shall see how this truck holds up in the future being a new design. I hope Toyota lives up to it's pre-determined standards in quality. I think we all do on this forum.

The click on the seat feels like the lock on the recline lever is disengaged. And it happens during braking/stopping and accelerating from a full stop.

Could this be this NVV004-06?

The squeaking noise seems to be coming from either the belt tensioner or any accessory in the engine. I can distinguish a loose or worn out belt that squeaks. But this one is different. It sounds like a worn out bearing. Which one? I am not sure. But I think that it might be the tensioner pulley. Anyone who has a similar case here? I saw this post regarding belt tensioner.

The problem is the belt tensionner, a new number of belt tensionner exist
just ask to your dealer!!! if he don't know.... look a this

Motor :1ZZ-FE with belt tensionner number : 16620-22012,
new part number :16620-22013
Motor : 2ZZ-GE with belt tensionner number 16620-22032,
new part number :16620-22033
