Tricks to pulling 2001 5spd. tranny?

Hi,
My mechanic and myself are getting ready to pull the 5spd. tranny out of my 2001 Cor. and were looking for any advice/tricks to doing this to save time and unneeded hassles. It sounds like the transaxle/diff. has lost a bearing. Not sure if we can get parts for it. That and I am having a hell of a time finding a used 5spd for less than $800!!!

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Ok.....tranny is out and the diff is toast. I need a new tranny. Not having much luck finding on for a good deal though. Anyone have a good transmission connection? or parts source?

that thing is every junkyard in the nation its an awesome resource for refurbbned trqannies cheap hjowever it is used stuff so use at your own risk
