Default Timing Belt Advice, Please

I just bought a 1995 Toyota Corolla with 59k miles. I'm wondering about timing belt, water pump, and seal replacement. How often should these be done? What are good brand parts for a DIYer like myself? Any tools to remove the crankshaft pulley bolt and timing belt tensioner? Is my engine, 4A-FE, an inteference engine, or not?

Thanks!

Usually around 70,000 is the due date for a timing belt replacement and the water pump should be done at the same time while you're down there. There is no due date for the seals unless they're leaking.I would change the belt and pump as soon as possible due to the age.

Look at the working clearance issues you'll face trying to find room to remove the water pump pulley, water pump and timing covers. Those are more daunting issues than the task of removing the crankshaft pulley.

Unless you just want to work on it I wouldn't worry about it.I have a '94 with 223,000 short trip miles and I have never changed mine.I change my oil every 3 to 5,000 with a good quality oil and filter and drive the thing.
