Default General Motors Built Corola?

Has anyone had any problems with the General Motors built Corola? I've heard they've had some problems & been sending out to the dealer without fixing them. Let the Dealer worry about it! Coal miner

General Motors doesnt build the Corolla. Its build at a plant in Fremont, California that is jointly owned by Toyota and General Motors.
However, that plant is run by Toyota, not GM...

From what I've been told Toyota sold the rights to build Corolas to GM. Either or/ GM has there hand in the soup building Corolas.

Ehhhhh...I haven't heard such a thing, but if Toyota has sold the manufacturing rights to GM, it certainly is nearing the end of the world.

I have an '87 Corolla..one of the first vehicles built at the NUMMI plant, where the Nova was first produced. Like you said, it was a joint venture between Toyota and General Motors, but Toyota came in a saved GM's *** because the facilities were in such horrid conditions.

There may be some confusion...GM has its own versions of the Matrix...namely the Pontiac Vibe. But I have a hard time believing Toyota sold the building rights to GM.

Could this info be in the VIN coding? That will at least tell you at which plant location the vehicle in question was built.

I don't see why GM would advertise a vehicle is "...better than the Corolla..." if they had their fingers in the peanut butter.
