09 2.4 liter XRS-Are they really 5 mpg less than 1.8
I know the MPG is listed for 5 mpg less than the 1.8 but wonder if that is real world. Also the website says the rear end on the XRS is lower than the 1.8 which would actually help the milage. The XRS is 3.39 and the 1.8 is 4.13. The weight difference is 143 lbs. With just a slightly larger motor I would think it would not work as hard and you are only talking 0.6 liters larger. Any of you XRS guys getting 33-35 mpgs?? I'm not an aggressive driver and have an S and I'm getting 34-37 mpg. I am really missing my 4 wheel disk and would not cry about a little more power.
Thanks
Bob
