Alrighty boys and girls, my new 09 XRS is getting dropped off this week at Ingen Intake to have a prototype intake made. They will have the car about a week and in the end we will have a nice performance upgrade for this nice little Toy. I will give you all the updates as they become availible.

Sweet, nice to see we'll have some aftermarket support. Let us know what it does for performance and MPG's!

Are you planning on running a before/after dyno?

UPDATE: just got off the phone with the guys at Injen....intake is done. 12hp gain on the dyno! (I will have data sheets when I pick up the car) Its a full CIA, NOT the short ram type. They said the Corolla has a TON of restriction with the factory airbox, so the intake really woke her up! They are also keeping in till next week so they can build an exhaust to compliment the intake. I should have the car on Wed and I will have pics for you all then.

alrighty....just got the Corolla back today and the CIA is niiiiiiice! They installed the filter behind the bumper just below the driver's side front light (picture 3).

As for the performance....WOW! You can feel it pull all the way to redline (which you can see on the dyno sheet). LOUD squeal into 2nd, nice chirp into 3rd, and in the wee morning coolness a slight chirp into 4th. (mind you this is just the filter....I dont get the exhaust for a few more weeks) As mentioned earlier, the filter averaged 12 hp, but only a few ft-lbs, but as the dyno sheet shows, w/filter AND the exhaust it made a total of 15hp and 15ft-lbs extra! Not bad for a Corolla! lol

not yet....when I pick up the exhaust I will get a better idea on that stuff.

Not yet....the days I have off, my better half has the car when she goes to work. Im going to get one next week when we go on vacation and she will let me drive that car again. lol

lol, well good luck on getting to drive that thing. Let us know when you get that video up. I'm kinda interested... but not so sure if I want to spend money on that stuff right now. Think I would rather pay it off then start playing.
