Default 42mpg freeway at 70-72 mph

Yeah, not too bad. I drove 142 miles on 3.37 gallons which equals 42.14mpg.

a/c at the halfway point in the blue area.
cruise set between 70 & 72.
98% all hiway w/ some stop and go and a few hills.
hand calculated
Chevron mid-grade 88.
Trd drop in air filter
Amsoil ASL 5w/30 synthetic oil with 12k miles on the oil.
Amsoil Severe Gear in the diff. ( 5-speed manual)
Yokahama TRZ 205/60/15 80,000 mile tires w/ 40 psi air pressure (hot).

If i get 39mpg at 75, and 42mpg @ 70. Maybe i could get 45mpg at 65, and 48mpg at 60mph?

I think someone claimed 50+mpg at 55mph, correct?

I didn't think that was too bad mileage considering it's rated at 27/35 on the sticker.

What do you think?

Thats great MPGs. I would have to be driving off the face of a cliff to ever get those numbers out of my car. I just drive it too hard the engine is too big. lol

See you could have spent more money and got a hybrid and got the same MPG... Just kidding...

I've always had good luck out of Toyotas getting what the sticker says or better than.
