Default 2009 Corolla S (first oil change)

My wife took her corolla in for the first oil change I didnt feel like messing with it I usually do all that type of work myself.

It was very fast and reasonably priced I thought $32......

We got a service check off sheet along with it showing all the stuff they looked at which was nice.

So we take a trip to florida to the beach this past weekend and I'm thinking why are we not getting the 37-39mpg we always get? We got a best of 35mpg.

I guess its really my fault for trusting the words on the checklist from the dealership "tire pressure checked good 32 psi"

We drove almost 1100 miles with tire pressure at 24psi all around and guess what? no tire pressure warning light! I cant figure this one out unless they lowered the tire pressure then reset the TPMS?

Obviously its my fault for taking their word for it and not checking it before our trip 3 days later.........

Glad we didnt have a blowout I had my 2 y/o boy and wife in the car

Default Re: 2009 Corolla S (first oil change)

I got service contract with my XRS. I used to do all the oil changes on my trucks, but I dont care for pulling cars up on ramps to do the work, so I'll let Toyota handle it. lol

If they just reset the TPMS without inflating the tire pressure then the new "correct" pressure would be the lowest pressure I believe. I need to re-check mine come to think of it...
